How we help

Decide what needs to change. Put the agreed changes into practice.

When the cause is unclear, start with Operating Clarity. When the issue is sufficiently understood, use a working session or implementation support to move the agreed change forward.

Engagement choices

Start with what is already understood.

01

Operating Clarity Diagnostic

Leadership is considering another hire, manager, or software purchase and needs to understand what would actually solve the problem.

Explore the Diagnostic

The workReview selected evidence, test plausible explanations, and recommend a practical next move.

What you receiveExecutive brief, evidence map, prioritized recommendations, 30–60 day action plan, and leadership readout.

Bring relevant existing materials and perspectives from people closest to the work. The diagnostic focuses on one important question or agreed connected questions; specialist determinations are excluded.

02

Focused Working Session

When the issue is sufficiently understood, but leadership needs help turning it into a decision, clear responsibilities, or a practical plan.

Discuss a Working Session

The workWork through a bounded decision, clarify ownership, or plan a practical test.

What you receiveA written decision or change plan with owners and next steps.

Scope, timing, and fee are agreed before work begins.

Bring the established issue, relevant evidence, practical constraints, and the person responsible for the decision. The session focuses on one decision or change; broader investigation is agreed separately.

03

Advisory Sprint / Implementation Support

When findings have been accepted and the business needs help putting a defined change into practice—for example, redesigning roles, clarifying decision authority, or establishing management routines.

Discuss Implementation Support

The workSupport the agreed redesign and help leadership assess whether it is working.

What you receiveDefined operating tools, responsibilities, and review measures suited to the scope.

Scope, timing, and fee are agreed before work begins.

Begin with accepted findings, a defined change, and a leader responsible for putting it into practice. Agree the deliverables, responsibilities, and review points during scoping.

A diagnostic helps when the cause is unclear. It is not required before every engagement.

Practical application

What the work can make clearer.

Examples of work that can be scoped around an established need. Deliverables are agreed during scoping; an engagement does not include every item shown.

Scope boundaries

What Portage does not do.

Portage supports operating decisions. Legal, regulatory, clinical, licensing, reimbursement, accounting, tax, financial, compliance, and other specialist determinations belong with the appropriate qualified professional.

Recommendations can include involving a specialist, pausing a change, or doing no additional Portage work.

Start here

Tell us what needs to work differently.

Bring the situation, what you have already tried, and the change you are considering. You do not need the diagnosis before the conversation.
